estimatingWe’re Always Focused on Your Bottom Line

At A.O. Reed, we define cost management as developing a detailed estimate in the conceptual phase of the project and managing the cost through design completion.

We understand the decision to proceed with a project is often based almost exclusively on a mechanical contractor’s early conceptual cost estimate, which provides the basis for the cash flow projections and budget forecasts used during the project feasibility study. Unreliable cost estimates from a commercial mechanical contractor can result in significant cost overruns later in the project, when it’s too late to contain them.

As potential projects are considered, we require highly accurate cost estimates and we also seek opportunities to:

  • Reduce lifecycle costs
  • Improve budget accuracy
  • Optimize whole-life project value
