Five-story, 518,100 SF, 300-bed teaching hospital and medical center. Installed plumbing, piping and HVAC. 3-570 ton chillers, 3-570 ton ceramic cooling tower cells, 3-400 hp boilers, 34 air handlers totaling 700,000 cfm, 44 EFs (including large capacity), heat exchangers, 6 FCs, and over 1 million lbs. of galvanized & stainless steel ductwork (16 gage heaviest). Piping systems included: hot, col, DI, RO; lab air, gas & water. O2, N2, and hospital med gases.

The hospital is a 107 bed, acute care facility.
The six- level parking structure serves the new hospital and consists of an elaborate storm drain system and air conditioning of the elevator rooms. Plumbing drainage (roof drains, deck drains) for multi-level parking structure, also includes two exhaust fans and two wall mount “Bard” air conditioning units.

This seven-story, 383,000 Sq. Ft. tower was part of the first phase in the design and construction of a world-class, comprehensive, and premier institute for heart care on the West Coast. This Design-Assist project is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
This new cardiovascular tower accommodates 108 medical beds on floors 5, 6, and 7 (36 per floor) and 60 ICU rooms on floors 3 and 4. Floor 2 houses 4 operating rooms, 2 hybrid operating rooms, and 3 catheterization labs.
The central plant was designed to service the SCI tower and future additions.
A.O. Reed provided the plumbing, piping, and HVAC scopes of work.

This project consisted of a new 6-story, 225,000 Sq. Ft. radiology and operating facility in Fontana, CA. There was a sixth floor mechanical room, connections to the hospital and medical center for medical gases, chilled and heating hot water. There was also an unique two-duct heating and AC system.

The new $1 billion dollar, 1.5 million SF LAC+USC Medical Center was a replacement hospital for the Los Angeles County Hospital. The hospital includes a 7-story clinic tower, an 8-story inpatient tower, a 5-story diagnostic and treatment building and a central energy plant. This competitive bid project includes OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development) approved construction. A.O. Reed was a partner in a joint venture which constructed all of the HVAC and plumbing for this project.
