Raymond Romaine
Director of HVAC Projects - Los Angeles
Raymond Romaine is the Director of Construction at A.O. Reed’s Los Angeles Office. He manages the Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel. He is responsible for pre-construction and construction project execution.
He started his career journey in 1998 and quickly progressed, simultaneously expanding his knowledge and expertise. He started as a service technician and then joined office operations and sales. While climbing the ranks, Raymond gained a Business Administration and Management Certificate from DeVry University. He also has a Certificate in Project Management from UC Irvine, where he has taken Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification courses. Expanding his learning allows him to generate new ideas to implement and improve the team.
Raymond worked for various mechanical contracting companies, where he learned about pre-construction and operations. He has a vast background in ESPC, retrofit, and construction projects. During this time, he stays affluent on updated technology and educates himself on the new concepts of the industry. As stated, “A day never goes by without saying you’re a master.”
Raymond was introduced to the start-up location and joined the LA office in 2023. He was attracted to the challenge and wanted to grow the office in the competitive LA market. In 2024, Raymond was promoted to the LA office’s Director of Construction. He works on implementing the mantra, “Lead by example, work with integrity, and follow through with what you say you can do.” His focus is creating a culture centered around this concept. Raymond introduced the strategy of having the same salesperson walk through all stages of the project development. From building the budget, selling the job, managing the construction phase, and walking it through close-out. Developing this process led to instant success. They were able to build and maintain customer relationships, which generated more project leads. Recent projects Raymond has participated include the USC Football Performance Center and USC Rawlinson Stadium.
Raymond focuses on leading by example. By practicing the five business principles (decisiveness, trustworthiness, empowerment, clear communication, and resilience), he hopes to provide the team with the tools to thrive personally and professionally. Raymond aims to stay disciplined to lead to successful outcomes in the business and industry. “A.O. Reed is important to me because it is a historied company with an exceptional reputation. I am grateful to be a part of the organization and look forward to carrying the A.O. Reed name and traditions here in the Los Angeles markets.” As one of the leaders at the LA office, he works on supporting the team to the finish line.
