Martin Naranjo

Vice President, Service

Martin Naranjo started his journey in the HVAC industry in 2001. He went to San Diego City College to take HVAC classes and ultimately earned an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Control Systems, with an emphasis in System Operations, Design, and Repair. Martin holds several certifications as well, ranging from controls to specific systems. Martin joined the A.O. Reed team in May 2002. Since then, he’s held many job positions starting out as an apprentice to becoming the Vice President of Service.

Martin’s journey started as a Service Apprentice for A.O. Reed. As an apprentice, he learned from skilled Journeyman Technicians and started to climb the company's ranks. A.O. Reed gave Martin an opportunity when he didn’t have much experience and encouraged him to grow personally and professionally. Martin’s knowledge of the industry grew simultaneously with his experience, and he was soon promoted to Service Manager to support and oversee the field operations. Within 3 years, he was promoted to Service Operations Manager in 2012. Martin’s experience, knowledge, and dedication made him the new Vice President of Service in September 2023.

As Vice President of Service, he is responsible for the successful delivery and quality of HVAC and plumbing services. Martin’s philosophy is to provide clear expectations to his team members and utilize the team’s skills and strengths for overall success. His coworkers motivate him to be the best leader possible due to their support, loyalty, and understanding of expectations. Martin is an active member of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Mechanical Service Contractors of America, and the San Diego Business Owners and Managers Association.
