Matt Tranchina

Chief Financial Officer

Matt joined A.O. Reed in September of 2022, bringing decades of knowledge and experience from the financial sector. Matt has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Santa Clara University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He started his career journey at Arthur Andersen, LLP in Silicon Valley where he became an audit manager and, after 6 years, was recruited by one of his clients, Plumtree Software Inc., as their Financial Controller. After two years with the organization, Matt relocated to San Diego, where he joined Mor Furniture as their Director of Finance. He was then promoted to Vice President and soon became the Chief Financial Officer, where he helped successfully lead the company for 10+ years. There, he led the sale of the company and helped with the transition. 

At A.O. Reed, Matt oversees financial planning, financial reporting, accounting, treasury functions, asset control, legal, human resources, and assists with overall company management. Matt implements a hands-on approach to bring the team together and lead the organization to ultimate success. A.O. Reed is special to Matt, who describes it as “a San Diego institution.” He credits the amazing and inspiring people he works with as the best part of his job and hopes to build on the A.O. Reed tradition for many successful years.
