CPMCA Safety Star Award 2023

The CPMCA hosts the Safety Star program to recognize and reward safety excellence. Our team provided the company’s safety data within the past year. Based on our great safety results, we are winners of the Safety Star award and were given an honorable mention.

Each participant was divided into sections based on company size and type of company. A.O. Reed was listed in the “over 1,000,000 hours” section. This is the largest section in the program. Awards are based on Recordable Case Incidence Rates and Lost Workday Cases Incidence Rates. Since we had the lowest incidence rate and workdays lost, we were given the Safety Star award.

At A.O. Reed, safety is our top priority. We have built a safety program focused on preventing accidents through proper planning and education. A.O. Reed has a dedicated safety panel that monitors our safety to ensure it is current and effective for our employees.

A common goal at A.O. Reed is to construct the best buildings in San Diego. Our superintendents have been on safety committees for decades. From there, they bring, discuss, and implement the latest safety techniques to our employees. Learn more about our safety program here.
