William Snowden

Vice President, Operations

With more than two decades of experience at A.O. Reed, William Snowden serves as Vice President of Operations and oversees construction operations for the company's Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sheet Metal departments. In this role, he leads and supports project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field teams, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

William's career with A.O. Reed began on November 5, 2003, when he joined the company as an 18-year-old pre-apprentice working on the IDEC laboratory project. Shortly thereafter, he entered and successfully completed a five-year Plumbing and Pipefitting Apprenticeship Program, building the technical foundation that would propel his career forward. Over the years, he advanced through every level of the organization, serving as a Journeyman, Plumbing Foreman, General Foreman, General Superintendent, and ultimately Vice President of Operations in 2026.

Throughout his career, William has contributed to some of Southern California's most complex and impactful projects, including the UC San Diego Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute, Scripps Cardiovascular Institute, Pacific Beacon Military Housing, Rady Children's Hospital, East County Detention Center, and Cal State Fullerton Phase IV Housing. His experience across healthcare, laboratory, detention, military housing, higher education, and commercial facilities has provided him with a broad understanding of plumbing and piping systems, construction operations, and the unique challenges of diverse project environments.

Having spent his entire professional career with A.O. Reed, William brings a unique perspective shaped by firsthand field experience and a deep understanding of the company's culture, people, and values. His leadership philosophy is rooted in approachability, fairness, and service. Having risen through the ranks himself, he understands the challenges employees face and is committed to supporting team members at every stage of their careers.

A.O. Reed holds a special place in William's life and family history. Before beginning his own career with the company, he watched his father build a successful career at A.O. Reed and eventually retire. Today, William is proud to continue that legacy while helping create opportunities for future generations of employees, just as mentors and leaders once did for him.

William is driven by a passion for developing people and helping others succeed. He believes one of the most rewarding aspects of leadership is watching employees grow their skills, advance their careers, and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. Through mentorship, operational excellence, and commitment to teamwork, he continues to foster an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

Success isn't built by one person. It's built by teams of people who trust each other, support each other, and are committed to a common goal.”
